Son of prose and rhythm. Urban, vegetarian, ecologist, a universal mestizo of Venezuela roots, Onechot is a complete musician: he composes, writes, and plays with his surrounding reality with melodies and rhythms that you can’t ignore; they return to haunt you like primal calls.

Disciple of maestro Gerry Weil; leader, vocalist and guitar with Negust Nagast, and leader and vocalist of Latin sensation Papashanty Saund System, he has played with many key bands over the last decade that are well know around the globe.
Onechot’s blend of world beats and self-composed songs were created to remind listeners of the greater struggles that many people face throughout planet earth – a greater global consciousness of the issues – war, hunger, misery, abandoned youth, a collapsing environment, illnesses, and contaminated drinking water.

Also participating are stars of the caliber of Michael Rose, two-time Grammy winner, and Sly Dumbar, Fidel Nadal, MX-1, Fire Tea, Boomer, Valentino Thompson, Baroni, Bosta’s Brain, Rekeson and very special guest, poet, Alfredo Chacon, whose voice brings us up close to the magic of words. The CD was recorded in Caracas, mixed in Kingston, Jamaica and mastered at Sterling Sound studios in New York.
